The Wicked Whisk is Teri Neumann (that’s me!), a west side Houston home baker who spent way too many years in the corporate world before coming to the conclusion that life was not for me. Was I good at it? Yes. Did it bring me any personal satisfaction? None. I’ve been a baker all my life, and nothing makes me happier than being in the kitchen making something sinful and delightful that someone else will enjoy. The whir of my mixer, the smells coming from my ovens, the look on someone’s face when they see what I’ve brought them or take that first bite – those are the things that make me want to get up every morning. So 2017 is the year I stopped baking as just a hobby and made my passion my full-time life’s work!

Pride, passion, quality ingredients, and dedication to flavor. I take those things very seriously. I believe in only making the best, which means I work with only the best ingredients in my products, and if I don’t feel something is just right then it doesn’t leave my kitchen until it is. Some of the recipes I work with and have tweaked over the years have been in my family upwards of 100 years, so you can rest assured there is a lot of love that goes into each bite you take. And because I love spending time in the kitchen experimenting like a mad scientist (complete with cackle) to perfect flavor, there are always new twists and products on the horizon. I work from home under the Texas Cottage Food Law and am happy to deliver for free within 5 miles of my home. Please contact me if you would like a quote for delivery beyond 5 miles. Please note I don’t do decorating that involves fondant, modeling chocolate, gum paste, etc. These are great tools for pastry artists, but they are just not my focus at this time.
